Dry Eyes

Chronic Dry Eye is a chronic disease and there’s no permanent cure for it. CDE can be caused by advanced age, contact lens wear, certain medications, eye diseases, other medical conditions, or environmental factors.

One type of Chronic Dry Eye is caused by decreased tear production due to inflammation. If you have this type of CDE disease, Dr. Kostesich may determine that you need a prescription medication. He will perform specialized tests that will help determine whether you have this disease or not.
